How to become a sponsored user
Important Note: OIT recommends you complete this process at least one week before your event. This provides adequate time to work through any issues in the process.
Departmental contact: The person you are working with at CU Denver University.
Organization Name: This is the department that is sponsoring your account. Selecting the correct Organization Name is important to ensure the correct department receives your request.
Please check with your departmental contact to verify the correct Organization Name.
If you and your contact are unsure which Organization Name is correct, please contact the OIT Service Desk.
Personal Identifiable Information: OIT uses your Last Name, Last four Digits of SSN, and Month/Day of Birth to distinguish you from other users, and to verify your identity if you need help with your account. Please be sure to provide accurate information.
Email Address: Please use an address you can access easily, as this will be used help create your university account.
Once finished, submit the form, and the sponsoring department will approve your request. Your account will be created within 1-2 hours of approval.
Once your account is created, instructions for how to claim your account and log-in to university systems will be sent to the email address you provided.
After you claim your account and set your password, test your logon credentials HERE.
